Retailer/Buyers:

1. Get online at www.petboardoftrade.com, or call our retail coordinator for help to get online.
2. Sign up for PBT or e-PetsOnline account (you can use the same username/password to login to either site!).
3. Once you have an account you may use your user ID and password to go to auctions. Your user ID will be your bidder number and only you will be allowed to bid, edit, or do anything with this account. No one looking at auctions can tell who you are. Over time they may know your store number by buying many pets, but they will not know specifically who you are.
4. Buyers may enter a proxy bid (this would allow you to bid on an auction without watching it.) The proxy bid allows you for example to bid up to $300.00 for an animal. As long as the bids on that pet are less than your proxy your bid will automatically increase in $10.00 increments until you win or your $300.00 bid is exceeded. If you are close in the last one hour of the auction you will be notified by email if you do not have the winning bid, (allowing you to bid higher).
5. Buyers may utilize auction watch or other services to monitor progress of auction, if they are interested.
6. Buyer may sort for different auction items by breed, sex, cost, and most other criteria. You may also sort by criteria within other criteria (ie: sort by breed to yorkie then by sex, color, size, cost, etc).
7. Once buyer has successfully completed an auction they will be notified by email. At this point a $15.00 fee is charged to PBT to your method of payment. The producer is also notified of your name and address (for registry work). Your credit/debit card will not be billed for the cost of the animal until the third party confirmation of delivery to you (TransPet or other carrier confirms delivery or you sign for animals at the airport).
8. Once buyer has successfully completed an auction they may download shot records and/or registration information about the animal. You will be notified of the first legal ship date and probable delivery date and time on your chosen transporter.
9. Buyer will receive a four generation pedigree on purebred dogs where available for a $10.00 charge. All animals going through PBT website will be micro chipped with an added cost of $10.00, health certificate cost is $10.00, and a shot/vaccination/dewormer fee of $10.00 also applies. This may be addressed by separate contract with the producer.
